About Diverse Malta
In the framework of 2008 European Year of Intercultural Dialogue, St. James Cavalier Centre for Creativity embarked on another exciting project. The European Union declared 2008 as the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue. Intercultural dialogue contributes to a number of strategic priorities of the European Union such as respecting and promoting cultural diversity; favouring the European Union’s commitment to solidarity, social justice and reinforced cohesion; allowing the European Union to make its voice heard and realizing new efficient partnership with neighbouring countries.
In Malta, the year also allowed us to bring to the fore issues pertaining to the integration of other EU and non-EU nationals in Malta.
We developed this web portal as a platform for cultural diversity in Malta and the Maltese abroad. The website is a unique opportunity for embassies, cultural institutes, organisations of Maltese communities abroad and associations of international communities in Malta to provide information about their community and promote their events via one unique portal.
The project will be piloted for a year and maintained by St. James Cavalier Centre for Creativity. The service is being offered free of charge. We will initially upload the information provided, however, once the website is launched, your organisation would be able to upload any new events. All events submitted by any organisation will be monitored by St. James Cavalier as the administrator of the site.
We highly encourage your organisation to participate in a web project that brings together diverse communities and provide a virtual events notice board. We look forward to your feedback and assistance in supporting intercultural dialogue. Should you require further information about the project do not hesitate to contact Andrea Scorcia, diversemalta.com project coordinator on
